Children Education in Early Stage of Age-Based Construction of Integrative Curriculum (Ending)

Prof Madya Dr. Mastura Badzis, Director, Development Research Center of Children (NCDRC) Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia (Vice President Helwa)

Conclusion

In conclusion of this paper, I want to bring attention to the audience gentleman. The words of children in the Arabic language is referred to as al-tifl (1 لطفل) derived from the word tafula (طفل) which means a soft, fragile and sensitive. The purpose behind it made sense that a child should be cared for, nurtured and educated with neat, precise and perfect view of nature that are susceptible to environmental hazards are not only worried about damage that will befall the body physically and even aspects other very well be of concern.

In dealing with the good practices of the west, we often saw or were aware of western society generally prudent approach in the form of conduct and discipline for the children. It's like they have a culture, caressing, hugging and kissing the children. Right now so many hadiths and recommendations of scholars who mention the importance of educating children with patience and gentleness. But the reality prevailing in Muslim societies today, punishing the perpetrators are often children with emotional and far from educational.

Imam Al-Ghazali had mercy said, "certainly our children are precious." In talking about their children's education is a matter we need to understand that teaching is an art that comes from the soul of the fine and creative thinking. A creative and artistic soul would not be born of the hard and rough that met personally feel irritation triggered by emotional upset and loss of intellectual consideration. Love is the most important element in the process of educating. Criticism and advice is born from the spark of love will melt the hardened hearts instead highlighting the roughness and anger will freeze gentle soul. What more when the front of our children who are white, are going to learn anything in the environment through observation, which will mimic the qudwah further highlighted by the habit of applying the learning outcomes.

This is also the reform should be done by Muslims in educating children. Go back and consult the practice of the Prophet, his companions and scholars in shaping and educating generations. Children's education in the early stages of age-based integrative approach as recommended should be implemented. In his book Al Muqaddimah, Ibn Khaldun reminds educators by calling: "... Verily the violence in educating the bad effects to people who are educated, more so for children. Who taught the ways of violence and coercion, it will be straitened and mind and soul and the son was lost intelligence, lazy, carried away the lies and bad behavior ... "
