Always discuss with your children what they was learned at school before and ask them to recall what their teacher had been said, explained and teaches.

The most important part of a child's education is to have helpful parents who are involved in their child's education. A close association with your child's teacher and knowledge of your school district's philosophy will give you the tools you need to work through any problem your child may experience. Being aware of the curriculum will help keep you current on the skills your child should be mastering.

A parent is a child's first teacher. Public school teachers are often teaching in overcrowded classrooms with a lack of supplies and struggling to meet the needs of children with special needs. A supportive parent can offer assistance in a variety of ways to help the teacher or school. School is your child's "job". Parents must work in conjunction with school personnel to develop a child's work ethic that will take him in to his adult life.
